Launch of the Simplified Organizational OSINT Maturity Assessment

We are pleased to announce the launch of our new Simplified Organizational OSINT Maturity assessment! This free tool assesses the efficacy of an open-source intelligence (OSINT) unit and provides feedback on how to improve overall operations. It is most suitable for managers, analysts and investigators, who work in these types of units; or where OSINT is a significant part of what the unit does.

Our research and client interactions have provided us with the expertise needed to design the tool. We have firsthand experience collaborating with clients to create and/or improve OSINT operations and we are well-versed in current Canadian and International policies and practices related to OSINT and management. As far as we are aware, this tool is the only one of its kind; the feedback we received during our testing phase and initial roll-out has been very positive.

The assessment begins by asking a series of questions designed to get you thinking about the following areas: best practices and capabilities, organizational structure, policy and Law, technology, and OSINT training. Upon completion, you will receive feedback on your current OSINT operations with specific attention to the operational strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for development.

When answering the questions, you may choose to answer the questions on behalf of a particular unit or the entire organization. While we recognize not every question will apply to every circumstance, we believe this assessment is comprehensive and easy to use.

The data we collect is anonymized, meaning we will not know who took the assessment unless that person or organization chooses to share that information with us. Please note that we do collect aggregated data across organizations in effort to provide more tailored solutions to our current and prospective clients.
