Charles Richer to Lead New Digital Forensics Practice at the KeyNorth Group

The KeyNorth Group is pleased to announce the expansion of its service offerings to include digital forensics – the practice of securing, retrieving and analyzing evidence obtained from electronic devices and storage media.

Organizations in the public and private sectors retain a significant amount of information digitally and in cases ranging from internal investigations to litigation, it is important that these organizations, and their counsel, have access to professionals that can help them retrieve digital evidence in a forensically sound manner.

Leading the new practice is Charles Richer (MBA, Certified Fraud Examiner). Prior to joining the KeyNorth Group, Charles was a member of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) and retired as a Chief Superintendent after 32 years of service. Following his retirement with the RCMP, he was the Chief Information Officer (CIO) at Passport Canada, a fraud investigator at Public Prosecutions Canada (Canada Elections) and has held senior positions at private consulting groups specializing in investigations, technology and public safety.

Charles’ investigation experience includes fraud and commercial crime, internal investigations, and major cases both in Canada and internationally. He is also fluent in both official languages.

Combined with our existing premiere intelligence, investigation and risk management services; our digital forensic service increases our capacity to assist clients with their complex fact finding and litigation support needs. We are excited to welcome Charles to the firm.
